they are coming out now

they are coming out now One white guy wrote: View all 71 replies 22steve5150 4 days ago The way I see it there are three distinct roots for modern racism in the white community (my community) 1-- Those who have a fear of some kind of revenge plot against white people as the man in the video stated. Many of these guys are the more "open" racists. Those who feel the most fear tend to react in the most overt racist ways, it's like a defense mechanism for them or something. 2-- Many white people who don't really understand the systemic advantages our system has for being white, they see every "advantage" that a minority group gets (these "advantages" basically being the few legal protections from being persecuted, but to many white people they are seen as actual advantages). Their lack of understanding of this situation leads them to think that talk of systemic advantages to white people is nothing but sour grapes, and much of the conservative media in particular supports this kind of ignorance. This is the same kind of ignorance that leads people born into wealth to think that all poor people who don't make themselves into millionaires are just lazy or stupid, it's the classic problem of those who have had success thinking that it was 100% their doing, and forgetting any lucky breaks they may have had along the way while assuming that everyone else actually had the same chances that they did while starting out. 3-- Lastly, there are the poor white people, people like most of my family who have not had the same level of advantages that the wealthier people have, and the wealthiest people in the country (and a lot of politicians) groom these people to think that the reason why things are so fucked up for them is not because the system is not set up to give people a good shot at the "American Dream" anymore or that the rich and powerful have gamed the system in their favor, but the problem is with the OTHER poor people, the ones with darker colored skin. It's the classic political divide and conquer tactic, the middle class and poor can never rise up politically against the bankers and war merchants who run the big show because those same powerful groups have spent decades and millions of dollars convincing enough of the white portion of the middle class and poor that their enemy is the other middle class and poor people instead of the top 1% of the country that has half of our wealth or the corrupt corporations that imprison millions for profit, squash the "little guy" and "mom and pop" businesses, underpay and outsource jobs, and strip mine the planet's resources for quick cash. These people are literally tricked into being the political foot soldiers for their real enemy.
